La Jolla runners Chiara Dailey and Kirra Fisk ran the first- and fifth-fastest times on the three-mile Canyon Crest Academy course at the Ravens Invitational Sat., Sept. 3--more milestones in two illustrious careers as Vikings.

Dailey, a sophomore, won the 2023 event, ahead of the pack in 15:54.20, along with her historic time over the seven years of the event near Rancho Penasquitos stretching back to 2017. No one has run a faster time in the three-quarters of a decade of the Ravens Invitational.

But Fisk has nothing to hang her head about, clocking 17:26.70 in the mud and drizzle for fifth out of hundreds of runners. She continues to excel as a senior, her fourth year in competition for the Vikings.

Daphne Mayer, another stellar senior at LJHS, finished in 18:26.10 for 16th. She and Fisk have teamed up the past four years for outstanding performances and quiet leadership.
