Senior BellaRose (no space in her first name) Uhrig, a Viking cheerleader, talked about her plans to lead La Jolla spirit at the El Capitan-La Jolla football game Fri., Sept. 1, with her fellow cheerleaders.
"We are at an away game pretty far (from La Jolla)," she said, "but the crowd is ready. It's a lot of parents, so I feel like they love us already.
"So we're just going to give extra, 110 percent."
Q: What do you guys think about Military (Appreciation) Night (at El Capitan)?
"Exciting. We're very excited. Labor Day is going to be great. We get to celebrate in such a special way as a cheer team. So unique."

"Good luck."
