Jordan Lawson was the "new guy with the black cap on backwards" at Viking football practice, post-Big Bear camp, day 2, on the LJHS campus Tues., Aug. 6.
He takes over coaching the defensive line, which departed Defensive Coordinator Ryan Price oversaw last year. Price accepted the head coaching job at Point Loma High over the winter.
Felipe Alayza continues to be the DL assistant, under Lawson.
