Cole Roberts is the resident "wiseman" for the La Jolla High baseball team, now a senior after having pitched in the postseason playoffs as a freshman three years ago.

Ask him any question, and he will answer. He is left-handed. That explains a lot. He is the face of Viking baseball this season.

This discussion took place March 5.

What is the state of La Jolla High baseball?

We're looking pretty solid. We started off 0-2. But it's all good now. We're on a two-game win streak.

What else should I ask you?

Ask me...

What are we looking at with you guys' senior leadership?

We're looking for that standard leadership role, being dogs and leading the team through example and experience.
