LJ b golf: Q&A with Carson Diehl

Carson Diehl is a sophomore playing for the La Jolla High boys golf team. In the winter season, he played JV basketball. In the fall, he was named All-CIF defense on the Viking varsity football team, leading the county in interceptions with nine.

These comments came during warmups for Coach Christie Quinn's golf team's match against La Costa Canyon at Balboa Golf Course Mon., March 4.

What's your favorite sport outside of football?

Probably basketball.

Are you a scorer or a rebounder?

Probably rebounder and closer.

You mean scoring inside?

Yes.

Sounds like a relative. (Making a joking reference to his brother Jackson, who played for the varsity basketball team.)

What's your vertical leap?

Unofficially, 36 inches.
