As to be expected, the Vikings varsity girls swept places 1-4 at the Eastern League championships run at Morley Field Thurs., Nov. 2--Chiara Dailey, Kirra Fisk, Daphne Mayer, and Hannah Aalaei.
La Jolla won the team title, garnering 18 points, with OLP back at 46, Coronado 75, and on down the line.
Dailey and Aalaei are sophomores, Fisk and Mayer seniors.
Lily Mebust, another sophomore, ran ninth to give the Vikings a fivesome among the top nine places.
Meanwhile, the La Jolla boys varsity placed second in the team competition, scoring 59 points to leader St. Augustine's 30 points. In third place was Crawford, at 83 points.
Junior Keegan Durfee finished in fourth place on the leader board in a time of 17:04..
Tbe top three girls all ran the 3.11-mile course at Morley, winding around slopes and under trees, in less than 19 minutes, which is pretty elite.
