Cooper Gilmore's tee time in Chino Hills is 7:30 a.m. (this is being written two hours later) on Thurs., Nov. 9. She is in group 2B with three other golfers, from Crean Lutheran (Irvine), Marshall, and Chowchilla, in the Southern California Regionals of CIF girls golf.
Gilmore is a veteran of these competitions, having participated last year as a freshman as well. Everybody in the competition is teeing off at the same time, in foursomes, with two groups at each hole at the course in Chino Hills.
The course is called Los Serranos Golf Club (the North course). Cooper is the only individual Viking athlete that I'm aware of still in Fall CIF competition. The other entity, football, is a team sport. Go, Cooper, go!
You can check her progress and final score for today by Googling "CIF Regionals". Choose girls golf. It will list her by tee time under one drop-down, and by first name individually under another.
By the way, the new CIF San Diego Section administration under Joe Heinz has really upped their game in the technology department. He just took over this Spring/Summer. I can now get Cooper's scores at the CIF sites, instead of texting the athletic director of LJHS all the time! Last year I didn't have this access. Even last Spring, for the Vikings boys team, the access wasn't this easy to use.
