Ryan Price is Defensive Coordinator/Associate Head Coach of the La Jolla High football team. He served for six years as head coach at University City High. These comments were made before the Vikings' game at Patrick Henry High Fri., Oct. 20.
Q: Coach Price, who are standouts on defense this year? Who has surprised you?
We knew Ryan Kestler (safety) was going to be good. We didn't know he was going to step up as much as he has been. He has been a big impact player for us this year.
Q: And didn't he have a big play last week (Oct. 13 in a 56-6 win over Morse at home)?
Yeah, he continues to have big plays on defense.
