Marco Furlanis' rocket into the upper right corner of the goal on a free kick from the left side at about the 18-yard line of the football field was the equalizer, as La Jolla dueled visiting Coronado to a 1-1 draw in boys soccer Friday night, Jan. 5.

Furlanis' kick, coming in the fourth minute of the second half, was the Vikings' only score. Earlier, the Islanders had netted a goal in the 32nd minute of the first period.
