The offensive line for La Jolla's football team works hard, and rarely gets recognition.

We'll award them the "Unsung Heroes" plaque, an unofficial one.

Cyrus Varnum, right tackle

Cyrus Varnum holds down right tackle. He's listed at a solid 6'4", 250 pounds.

Devin Garcia, who played center last year, lines up this season next to Varnum at right guard. He goes 6'0", 190 pounds.

Davin St. John, left guard

Johnny Griffen, whose family has a long history in La Jolla High football, is in the middle of the line at center. "He has really stepped up," commented Head Coach Tyler Roach while crediting his entire offensive line for their contributions.

Danny Molestina, a sophomore,
6'2", 255 pounds, who has joined
the group.

Griffen's father retains a conch shell said to go back to King Kamehameha of Hawaii, who the family traces its roots back to. He used to blow the conch on the sidelines at Vikings football games.

Isaac Ramirez, left tackle

Davin St. John goes into his three-point stance at left guard. He measures 6'1", 218 pounds.

Isaac Ramirez fills out the line, from right to left, at left tackle. Ramirez is listed at 6'3", 250 pounds.
