La Jolla's girls water polo team, under second-year coach Amy Jennings, continues its stellar play, winning the El Nino Tournament title at Irvine High School.
The Vikings won four straight games to sweep the annual tourney, which draws several talented teams. The tournament transpired over two days, Friday and Saturday, December 8 and 9.
La Jolla came home to face Del Norte, another strong team, Wed., Dec. 13. In a close, well-played match, the Vikings suffered a 9-8 loss, their first loss of the young season.
