Casey Brown, the starting quarterback for La Jolla the past season, had some nice things to say about the junior class before the La Jolla-Bishop's girls water polo game Thursday afternoon, Feb. 4.
"They're a great class," said Brown of Daniel McColl, Nick Hammel, and their fellow classmen who will be seniors next year. "They're going to be great," said Brown, a senior, amid a discussion of the new facilities that will open after construction on Edwards Stadium is completed later this year.
"I really don't have any idea of who they would hire," he said regarding the selection of a new head football coach. Offensive coordinator Tyler Roach said he was one of the applicants before the deadline Sun., Jan. 31.
Brown agreed it would be a much easier transition for the program to name an assistant coach like Roach as head coach than to bring in a new head coach from the outside.
