Justin Woods, Nathan Wittkow, Nate Takata, and the rest of the LJHS boys golf squad tee off Wed., May 10, at Steele Canyon Golf Course beginning at midday in the CIF team competition for 2023.
Nathan Wittkow tees off on the Vineyard 1 course at 12:50 p.m. Woods, only moments earlier, has a scheduled tee time of 12:45 on the Ranch 1 course, followed by Kaden Ward at 12:55 and Nate Takata at 1:05. Each is playing in a foursome of golfers from different schools.
Seigo Lavinsky tees off on the back nine at Vineyard at 1:00 p.m., followed by Gabriel Lopez at 1:10.
The Vikings, under Coach Christie Quinn, have excelled to a number-12 ranking in the CIF standings. Both Division 1 and 2 schools are combined in the standings. La Jolla is a Division 2 competitor.
The team competition caps a season that started back on Mon., Feb. 13 with a 2:30 p.m. tee time. The Vikings have played well to arrive at this point.
