Speaking of the first half Wed., Sept. 25, La Jolla's defenders and attackers were doing pretty well, despite giving up a goal to Laine Jeffery in the middle of the second quarter.

On offense, Reese Martin and Ella Cathalinat ("CAT-a-LEEN-at", like Catalina Island) were prominent in taking the ball into the Vikings' red zone for attack. The ball spent quite a bit of time on La Jolla's offensive end of the field.

Obviously, with Bishop's scoring a goal in the second quarter (7:44) by senior Laine ("lainey") Jeffery, and another goal being netted in the second half, the Knights were no slouch either under returning coach Paula Conway, the Vikings' former coach/athletic director.

On the other end, juniors Lilly Ferrari and Savannah Putnam were visible in their defensive efforts, shoring up the back in front of goalie Kinsley Stephens numerous times.
