Senior Jess Newell ignited for two goals, with teammates Paige Olson and Lulu Hirschfield chipping in one each, as La Jolla bolted away from Coronado after a narrow 4-3 lead late in the third quarter to take a decisive 8-3 win in the two teams' Western League opener at Coggan Pool Thurs., Jan. 10.
