Just as hot house flowers bloom, La Jolla freshman Chloe Lynn shot a 48 on Balboa's southern nine as the Vikings competed against Cathedral Catholic in a junior varsity match Mon., Sept. 9.
"A 48--that's pretty good at this point (of her development)," said La Jolla head coach Aaron Quesnell.
Lynn and five fellow ninth-graders have invaded the Viking golf program for the better, giving Quesnell plenty of potential to work with. Two team members also play lacrosse. Gloria Devitt, a sophomore coming back for her second-ever year of playing golf, also defends on the soccer pitch.
In other recent news, senior Olivia Krasuski returned to the links for her first competition for the Vikings this fall, crushing a 38 at Riverwalk Sept. 5. That score really turns on the light bulbs.
