Q: You take your leadership role pretty seriously.
A: I do.
Q: What does it entail? How do you see it?
A: Just leading by example, being there for the team. When things are going down, you got to be the one to step up and to not let the boat fall apart. So, that's what's big for me.
Q: Things are going the other way. People are doing things... You're going, nah, we need to step it up. It's kind of hard sometimes to go against the current and be the leader, because you stand out and are saying something different from the others. How do you deal with a situation like that?
A: Adversity. Something is going to come your way. You look at it. If no one else is going to stand up and deal with it, you might as well. So, I think if I stand up and deal with it, I'm going to be the one that's going to lead the rest of the team, and they're going to follow me.
A mindset can be followed, so if I go with it, they'll go with it.
Q: What's your goal for the season? What do you want guys to take away, to be talking about 10 years from now?
A: That we just gave it our all on the field, everyone had a great time and can look back and say that that was one hell of a season and loved it.
