Gabe Solis attributed La Jolla's five wins in six games, after a horrendous 1-4 start to the 2017 football season, to team members "buying into" the program.
Before the Vikings' quarterfinal playoff game against Santa Fe Christian Nov. 17, the 5'10" receiver said, "We started utilizing everyone more. (Quarterback) Trevor (Scully) started utilizing his receivers."
Asked to go further, the junior continued, "Everyone just bought into the game plan. People bought into (head coach Tyler) Roach's plan."
