Uniform number 155. That's not something you see too often.
Reed Farley, La Jolla's point guard, sported the triple-digit number at the Elite 100 basketball weekend recently.
Farley's mixtape of highlights, to be expected, featured the 6'4" leaper, looking forward to his senior and final season at LJHS in December, filling the basket up with three's, blocking shots--as he loves to do--passing deftly, and mixing in a trademark dunk behind the #155 jersey.
Another thing you don't always see is a Division 1 hoops prospect sporting a high GPA.
"I think it's very important to be well-rounded," said the likeable Viking in an interview during Los Angeles' Elite 100 event. "My family and I both value a good education."
In the final of the Fab48 National Tourney in Las Vegas, in which the Earl Watson Elite 17 Under Armour Association team went 9-0, Reed shot five for five from the field, with four three-pointers and a dunk.
Farley's Watson team led Splash City, also of California, 40-24 at halftime in that tilt.
Following his AAU play, he worked at a youth basketball camp this past week in advance of the resumption of school prior to Labor Day Weekend.
