La Jolla's second-ranked girls water polo team jumped out to a 5-2 lead and never relinquished it en route to a decisive 10-5 win over visiting Cathedral Catholic at Coggan Pool Wed., Jan. 20.
The Vikings, looking relaxed and confident, scored first and never trailed in the Western League contest. They led the Dons, 3-1, at the end of the first quarter.
